What is a Piper Arrow?

The Piper Arrow is, for all intents and purposes, a souped up version of the Piper Warrior. With retractable landing gear, and a constant speed propellor, and a more powerful (and fuel injected) engine, it gives you both higher performance, and a larger useful load. It also means you can get your Commercial or CFI certificates at Sanford Air.

To rent the Arrow, you'll need a "Complex Endorsement", at least 5 hours of dual instruction in the Arrow, at least 100 hours total time, and a "check out".

The avionics stack includes:

  • Four Place Intercom
  • Dual-Push to Talk
  • Dual Nav/Coms (one with glideslope).
  • ADF
  • VFR only LORAN
