- We keep them onsite; just ask an instructor.
- You can get one at the Portland FSDO.

, and fill it out out on your computer.
Filling out the 8710 There are a number of common mistakes that people make when filling out the 8710. These include:
- Using your Social Security Number. You are under no obligation to give your Social Security Number to the FAA, and with the recent rash of identifity theft problems, you'll probably be better off if you just write "do not
use" in that space.
- Do you hold a pilot certificate? Yes, even if you're persuing a Private Pilot rating. Don't forget about your Student Pilot Certificate!
- Remember - height in inches (not feet), and weight in pounds.
- Please sign an date your application!
- Please get your instructor to endorse your application.
These are just the most common errors. Please don't forget to read the instructions! * For best results,
download the form from sanfordair.com. You can fill it out on your computer, print it out (nice and legibly), and save a copy for future reference. Of course, you'll need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to do this. |
