Are you ready to solo?
Before you can pilot an aircraft in solo flight, you need to meet certain requirements. These include the following:
Before you can solo, you'll need to complete the Pre-Solo written examination. You'll then review it with your instructor, and ensure that any errors are identified and corrected. At that point, your instructor will endorse your
logbook, stating that you have demonstrated the adequate pre-solo knowledge. Once your flying is good enough, and you've met the rest of the requirements, you'll receive the rest of the endorsements necessary, and off you go. A
tradition in aviation is to cut off the shirt tails of a newly soloed student pilot, so make sure you don't wear that shirt your mother gave you for Christmas. Otherwise, next year you'll get coal. :-) You can download the
