Get Your MedicalGetting an FAA medical (and, if needed, a Student Pilot Certificate) is rather simple. All
you need to do is go to an FAA Designated "Aviation Medical Examiner," and submit to a short physical.... usually. Obviously, if there is something wrong, you may have to go through more effort to demonstrate your medical
suitability. Occasionally, however, the answer may be "no". The Doctors In the Maine / New Hampshire area, we are blessed with a number of great AME's. They all seem genuinely interested in getting you your medical as
quickly and reasonably as possible (in line, of course, with the appropriate regulations.) Below is a list of the AME's in York & Cumberland Counties in Maine, and Strafford, Rockingham and Carroll Counties in New Hampshire.
