Finding Sanford Air

From Portland

Get on the Maine Turnpike and head south. Take exit 19 (Wells / Sanford), and turn right onto Route 109. After about ten minutes, you'll start seeing an airport on your left. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Portsmouth, NH

Take I-95 North into Maine. Once you pass the tolls that mark the beginning of the Maine Turnpike, look for the Wells / Sanford exit (Exit 19). At the bottom of the exit, you'll turn right on Route 109. Follow Route 109 for about ten minutes, and you'll start seeing an airport on your left. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Kennebunk

From the center of Kennebunk, get on Route 1 south. Turn right on Route 9A, and again (almost immediately) on Route 99. Eventually, Route 99 will T-end into Route 109 (you'll see the airport right in front of you). Turn right on Route 109, and we're just behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Kennebunkport

From the center of Kennebunkport, get on Route 9 heading southeast. When you come to Route 1, turn left. After you enter the town of Wells, turn right on Route 109. Follow Route 109 for about ten minutes, and you'll start seeing an airport on your left. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Biddeford and Saco

Get on Route 1 heading south. Keep going through Kennebunk, and into Wells. After you enter the town of Wells, turn right on Route 109. Follow Route 109 for about ten minutes, and you'll start seeing an airport on your left. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From York, Cape Neddick and Ogunquit

Get on Route 1 heading north. After you enter the town of Wells, turn left on Route 109. Follow Route 109 for about ten minutes, and you'll start seeing an airport on your left. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Dover, NH, South Berwick and North Berwick

Get on Route 4 North. Once you enter the town of Sanford, start looking for Route 109 (your first light in Sanford). Turn right on Route 109, and after about two miles you'll see a Texaco station on your right. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Alfred, Waterboro and Hollis

Get on Route 4 South. Continue on Route 4 until you enter Sanford and come to the intersection with Route 109. Turn left on Route 109, and after about two miles you'll see a Texaco station on your right. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Somersworth, NH and Berwick

Get on Route 9 East, and head into North Berwick. In North Berwick, turn left onto Route 4. Continue north on Route 4 until you enter the town of Sanford. Once you enter the town of Sanford, start looking for Route 109 (your first light in Sanford). Turn right on Route 109, and after about two miles you'll see a Texaco station on your right. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.

From Rochester, NH and Lebanon

Get on Route 202 East. Follow Route 202 into downtown Sanford, and turn right on Route 109.  After about four miles you'll see a Texaco station on your right. We're directly behind the Texaco station in the same building as the Cockpit Cafe.
